8th International Conference on Sustainability Education (ICSE) 2026

The 8th International Conference on Sustainability Education (ICSE) 2026 builds on the momentum of previous ICSE editions, responding to the growing urgency for coordinated action to address global sustainability challenges. This year’s theme, “Sustainability Education for Transformative Action,” highlights the role of education in enabling meaningful and lasting change. As the world faces accelerating climate change, biodiversity loss, environmental degradation, and widening inequalities, sustainability education must move beyond awareness to foster systems thinking, ethical leadership, innovation, and collective responsibility.

SASEANEE Onboarded Climate Catalysts Indonesia

Climate Catalysts Indonesia, The Wildlife Focus, and SASEANEE collaborated for the Climate Diaries Programme. Climate Diaries envisions empowering youth and educators to create, communicate, and catalyze positive climate action through education, digital engagement, and creative expression. The collaboration aims to strengthen youth engagement in climate action through storytelling, creative arts, and education, while promoting cross-cultural collaboration and regional visibility for young environmental changemakers. It also supports sustainability education through digital tools and shared learning resources, and amplifies local voices from South and Southeast Asia through the Climate Diaries publication and related campaigns.

SASEANEE as South Asia Regional Hub of GEEP

We are delighted to share that the South and South East Asia Network for Environmental Education (SASEANEE) has been recognized as the South Asia Regional Hub of the Global Environmental Education Partnership (GEEP)! GEEP’s Regional Hubs play a vital role in strengthening environmental education globally—by adapting strategies to local contexts, amplifying regional voices, and fostering meaningful collaboration across borders. As the South Asia Hub, SASEANEE joins a dynamic global network that includes hubs like GEEP Africa, the Asia-Pacific Regional Center, and other region-specific initiatives across East and Southeast Asia, the Pacific Islands, and North Africa, Central and Western Asia. This recognition reaffirms our commitment to nurturing knowledge exchange, empowering educators, and supporting innovative environmental action throughout the region.
